Sound & Web Design

Hi !

I went to the backlog of oudeis-idea/tech mails regarding sound & web design.

to sum up my thoughts about these topics:

1) the generation and "management" of sound should be as automatic as
possible, therefore I donÁt consider a special "sound engineer"
necessary (except for setting up and fine-tuning the stage equipment and
programming of the software).

2) the only sound that should be transferred between the stages is the
RL sound and not the cyberchoir sound. only the information about
which sound effect has to be played at which stage should be trans-
ferred. The sound is then generated locally at each stage and passed on
to the cyber audience.

3) existing RealAudio software doesnÂt seem to be able to handle all the
sound requirements of our oudeis project. Any volunteers for programming
of sound software ? ;-)

4) The question if light cones should be preprogrammed or controlled by
actors on other stages over the net is not a technical one; it is
rather a dramaturgical one.

If there are still any questions, please let me know.
