in september 1997 as follows
during the open rehearsals = performances on 2 real stages in austria
(linz/linz or linz/vienna) the 3rd stage will be found on a website and can
be accessed from everywhere.
parallel to our rehearsals we would like to arrange a (real) meeting of the
worldwide team -> the active participants of these lists
this meeting will include a public discussion, probably a symposium to the
field we are working in (the combination of communication techniques and
Theater) and a workshop for artists that want to get in touch with this
field.
one big question here is the funding!
We are trying to get some money to make this possible, but we are not sure
yet how much this will be. So we would ask you to find some grants of your
countries and universities or cultural institutions as well.
This would be possible because this meeting will have an important
theoretical part as well and will produce such things as a printed material
additional to the ars electronica cataloge! If you could get a grant you
could also show documentation of the work you did during this international
festival.
What kisproduction needs till end of april is a list of all who intend
coming. With this list and the knowledge about budget we than can decide
about how we can arrange a solution for everybody of you !!
We really think this is important not only for the oudeis project but also
for the development of work in this new field.
The second possibility of participating is what was suggested in my mail
answering Filippe Rosenburg.
Your location could have a projection of the webstage and some computers,
an event adverted and published as well. This would give an audience,
maybe theatrical interested audience with no great experience of new media,
access to computer and internet connections.
And they will have the opportunity to play an active role in it - the choros.
