've read it. the only problem i see with it is that each of us 'members of
the world-wide team' will have to set up a NetPhone-like connection with
the stage. i guess i can do it, but never tried it. RealAudio cannot be
used for this because for 'live' audio you need a dedicated server, and
that would be a bit difficult to get.
>Do you think you and your wife will have time to send something (music and
>perhaps animations)? that would be wonderful, the place is great!! there
>was a party there yesterday where I could look at the setting: an old
>baroque room, full with coloured light people and music :-)
my intention is to write music for the whole thing. my idea was quite
different that lee's, but i guess what he proposes is more similar to the
final oudeis setting. as soon as i have something to show i'll RealAudio it
so you can hear it.
my wife likes the idea of working on this a lot, so we'll have to
coordinate how to do it. if you want to put a bit of internet into it, we
can work on it here, prepare a 'shocked' website (a website with multimedia
'habilities'). there, on your computer, you should connect to the site
_before the performance_, so that your browser puts it on its cache
(another choice would be to copy the whole shockwave file to your computer,
and 'perform' it locally). this would handle the images and the music part
(both come together!). i don't know if this images should replace or
complement the idea of putting audience's pictures (don't like the idea
that much...). if the audience pictures and quotes are to be used, we won't
be able to coordinate them with the pre-prepared visual material, so we
should think of a way to 'mix' the thing, or maybe put the audience parts
on screen before the performance, as they are gathered.
>the place is great!!
could you send me a picture of it? (jpeg/gif)
PS: i think i've been dropped from the idea list (didn't treceive mail from
it for 15 days!)... could you check it there? tnx.
