Oudeis - a world wide odyssey through space and time that explores the
frontiers of new technologies by the use of the Internet as both a tool for
collaborative development and as a performance space. Using real actors in
simultaneous interaction with virtual actors, this global theater
production will follow the journey of Odysseus across seven international
stages and will utilize the Web as the eighth stage to link actors and
audiences alike in this work-in-progress.

Oudeis - a world wide odyssey ist eine weltweite Theater Produktion. Auf
sieben realen global verteilten B=FChnen und einer achten im Web werden
Darsteller und Publikum die Reise des Odysseus beschleunigt auf ein Stunde
nachvollziehen. W=E4hrend der Vorstellung haben auf jeder B=FChne, in jedem
Land, die Zuschauer zur selben Zeit die M=F6glichkeit, reale mit virtuellen
Darstellern interagieren zu sehen. Das Projekt verwendet das Internet
sowohl zur kollektiven Entwicklung der Produktion, als auch als Raum um die
Auff=FChrung in Echtzeit zu realisieren.

The play is structured in Epeisodia, scenes of Homers Odyssey, which are
framed by Stasima, the songs of the choros. People participating the
performance via the via World Wide web will not only see the ongoings on
the stages but also take an active part in the performance. The Stasima
produced by this virtual audiences, will be seen and heard on every stage
between the Epeisodia.=20

The actors are represented on the other stages by movinglights, their
movements and data gathered from bio-sensors are transmitted over the net.
For the web audience a special interface is designed.

Ihre Positions- sowie Emotionsdaten werden durch die Verwendung einer
speziellen Sensortechnik und eines Lichttrackingsystems =FCber das Netz

Darstellung des B=FChnengeschehens entworfen.
