Aloha Juli,

Thanks for your offer of help. It is needed and appreciated!

Right now I can think of two things that would be extremely helpful. As
you will see in my other mail to the list (Among Immortals - Full speed
ahead), we have three major ways of introducing the audience to the MOO in
both Vienna and Linz. In addition to having Michael in the Cafe Stein and
someone else (?) in the Sky Cafe to personally instruct people, we will
also have two large monitors in the Cafe Stein and a row of eight monitors
that leads into the entrance of the Sky Cafe. So, here is the plan:

1. BEFORE the performance begins, we will have a visual feed into these
monitors (both Linz & Vienna) that will serve two purposes - it will
provide information about oudeis and get them acquainted with the project.
It will also provide an overview of the MOO and show its central
importance to the project. When Georg gets back I am hoping he can prepare
something for these monitors using both text and graphics from the oudeis
websites and material provided by you.

2. At the beginning of the workshop in both Linz and Vienna, I would like
to make available two things that I hope (I know you can :-)) provide. The
first is a few pages explaining the MOO, how it works, and how it fits into
our project. This will give people in written form all of the information
they need to know about the MOO and its use. The second thing would be a
very short (maybe 3 X 5) card or sheet that would serve as a quick
reference guide for using the MOO. It would give the basic necessary
information concerning connecting to and using the MOO, and nothing else.
This way people could read the longer version at their convenience but when
using the MOO (during the workshop, performance, or whatever) they would
have all the vital information at their fingertips with the quick reference
guide. We could also attach the reference guides to the computers to make
things even easier.

So, if you could write a few pages explaining the MOO, how it works, and
how it fits into our project (bet you already have something) and also a
quick reference guide with just the vitals. Then, attach them as word
files and send them to me in care of kispro@oudeis.org, we will print them
out here and make them available to the public in both Linz and Vienna.
And Georg will also be able to take this information you provide and
incorporate it into the material on the screens we will be showing just
before the performance. If you can include graphics to make it more
interesting that would be great, if not we will do something here (maybe
the oudeis logo or ...)

Btw, by providing this material, both printed and on the screens, before
the performance, we will not only be preparing the audience in advance but
we will also be able to make the actual performance more dramatic and less
didactic.

Thank you, thank you!

Ein groß amerikanisch umarmen,
Lee
