First I would like to say that I hate netscape mail. This message
which I am retyping in Eudora at the university was originally sent
from the office two days ago. Between the problems with the server and
netscape mail, it is somewhere lost in the ether. Anyway.

Yes, there should be a number of other people outside of the workshop
joining us at the Sky Cafe...I think a substantial number.

Karin does not think this is possible.

Yes, the parodos music will work fine with the black screen
This topic of changes is becoming a touchy one. We all agree that we
do not want to repeat what happened at MMK...so...we have less than two
weeks from today for the performance and a very large amount of work
before us...still Santiago came with some very good ideas that involve
some changes.....ok, I think you (Mon), Rainer and me, etc...all agree
that we need to finalize everything!!! And avoid changes. Still, we
need to be open on certain changes even though they come at this very
late hour.
SO this is what we have all decided. We will go forward with what we
have in place as it exists now for the performance. We will make sure
we can take care of all of the artistic, technical, and logistical
concerns as our first priority. This means that we should (fingers
crossed) be ready for the performance without having last minute
additions or insurmountable problems of the type that occurred at MMK.
However, while we are going forward with solidifying the performance,
Santiago will explore other options and ideas. If they can be
completed well in advance of the performance and put in place without
too much difficulty we will do so (since this letter was originally
written two days ago, Santiago has come up with some excellent ideas
that we should be able to put in place. These include a prototype of
the choros for the workshop and a few other things...more details
later).

Right.

People will be able to sit at the tables but it looks as though we may
only have four laptops.
Yes, that's a great idea to have the computers already loaded with
telnet and connected!!!! Santiago suggested we use a MOO client in
place of telnet but your idea will work either way!

Yes, slightly more complex but also much more impressive.
Regarding the monitors that will be placed near the light cones in the
Sky Cafe...We have worked out the details and it is not the huge
technical effort it seems at first glance but is very doable. It will
also enhance the performance a great deal by making it more visual,
understandable and show that our characters are engaged in dialogue.
It will also combine our virtual actors with the real location
cones.

This will still occur though at a lessor degree.

Right.

Santiago and I will be a little bit occupied....we do need to find some
virtual actors (MOO translators for this).

Please!!

Yes.

This is presently being worked on. We also have a fallback plan to
ensure quality and reliability.

You, dear friend, are the stage manager for Linz. Santiago will
operate the screens and music.

Now, all we have to do is stay on track :-)
Best to all,
