>Greetings all,

>Just a few words between friends and colleagues about yesterday:
>
>We have all been working very hard on this project, not only recently but
for many, many months and there is no doubt that we all want it to succeed.
One thing that is clearly obvious to me is that oudeis will either go on
to greater things or die in ars. If things go well, the interest generated
will propel us on with great energy. If we are not ready and it shows in
the performance at ars, then I think we can all assume that Odysseus ended
his voyage with the lotus eaters, suffering from amnesia and not knowing
how to return to Ithaca.
>
>I think the performance will go very well. All the elements are there for
success. However, there remains a great many problems including a lack of
certain equipment, software difficulties, and lack of time for rehearsal.
I believe these problems can be overcome but it will mean that decisions
have to made on the spot and not put off for even a single day. It also
means that we must use all scheduled rehearsals to our best advantage. If
a time is scheduled for rehearsal we (myself included) must be there at the
set time. If we run into problems concerning our individual parts we
should still go to the rehearsal and discuss the problem or problems to see
if they can be resolved.
>
>In my opinion, we are at the point where we will have to discard that
which doesn't work or presents too many problems for realisation in order
to accomplish that which we can successfully do.
>
>Again, these are my opinions and I do not claim to know any more than
anyone else here but this is a collaboration and I think it is important to
state our feelings even if they are not all peaches and cream.
>
>A pat on the back for all the great work. We are running a marathon and
nearing the finish line. We can make it.
