the only computers that should have sound capabilities are the one used for
MOOMC and real MC's voices (operated by Georg), and the one used for the
screens and ShockWave sound (operated by me). i think we should even try to
'mute' the other laptops in case they have sound capabilities, because
they'll be only producing noise
(unless that's what we want)
all this will be clearer when we have Aaron's drawing of the 'map' for the
Sky Cafe.

in fact the animations will have to be changed, but i'm sure that will not
be a problem because the changes will not take more than a couple of days,
and the files will be available for transfering before next friday... is a
week OK?

i think we should take the cues from the MOO text displayed in the screens
when the real MC's not speaking. this only happens at the end of each
stasimon, when the next episode should start. for that i can add a fade out
to the stasimous screens (not much work) and then when misha and georg see
this they know the next episode is coming. Rainer and Jim don't need this
cue, because they don't have to do anything until the next translation
comes.

we have to check that when you're switching the image doesn't show up on
the other monitors. otherwise we can either consider this FX or get a
switcher with four outputs and _two_ inputs: VGA signal and black.

we finally found out that the place will be having a press conference from
10am to 16pm, and (as lee said), most press conferences usually get a
little longer than expected. so we're counting on having between one and
two hours for building up the thing. anyway we'll be working on the Sky
Cafe from Monday or Tuesday at night (after midnight), and we'll be able to
rehearse everything and set up the equipment with time. bad news is we have
to 'hide' everything every morning (including Ulli's cones), but we'll try
to leave the two main computers in place, maybe just moving them towards a
wall. the rest of our stuff will be stored with the beer behind the bar (so
maybe we'll be in charge of the beer drinking department also ;> ).
