so as I am here in NY hearing what is currently established I only want
to be with you :)
for me it seems that the main concentration for viennas team lies on AI
2.0 which seems more than reasonable
nevertheless let me say some words to the workshop
in a mail from july 9th I wrote a proposal - but things have changed
3pm
start with talks (?) from Gernot, Lee, Santiago, Dr. Fleissner, Karin and
me ...
The idea of Gernot was to replace these talks by a open discussion
between team members, and I really aprecciate this thought.
This would mean Gernot, Lee, Santiago, Karin, Ulli, Aaeron, Georg, Peter
Fleissner, Andrew and me sitting on a stage, discussion about the birth and
the growing of oudeis.
main facts that are to be told in any way:
*) how the idea of oudeis was conceived
*) what using the Internet as a stage means
*) how the final performance will take place
*) how the team works/communicates
*) the financial situation of oudeis, the plans for financing a worldwide
production
*) the work in progress (why the actual performance is sheduled for 1998,
what happens in between)
1 1/2 hours should give us enough time to express our thoughts AND get
into a Q&A part with the participants of the workshop
4.30 - 5.30
MOO Tutorial by Juli Burk
meeting team members of oudeis (Jim Terral, Twyla Mitchell-Shiner, Dan
Zellner, Boris Karnikowski in the MOO
6.00 Among Immortals: Oudeis, an Internet Odyssey V 2.0
my question is: if we plan to have talks, will the team in Vienna have
time to prepare their talks,
if not, should I start preparing the "frame" of a round table on stage
(having questions ready that I would ask everybody from our group)
i have to say
that I also thought of having active communication with oudeis team
members worldwide at the introductory part of the workshop already -
using ATHEMOO and a big screen and one of us typing in the RL discussion.
But I am not sure if this would not be "too much" for workshop
participants to understand.
thats for the first 3 hours of friday 12th and I am crossing my thumbs
for the incredible work for the last hour :)
