yes, especially now, when we have music that can be heard at any time - not
only during the MMK event - we should think of how to plan further

santiago which RA server are you using at the moment?
this software is very expensive :(

I will try to get in contact with vianet here in vienna - who once said
they would support us, and I will also try to find out if and how we could
use the ars electronica server

how many mirrors do we need?
how would this technically work?

:-) lets start THIS discussion:

I would say NO!!!!

the event does take place when both - audience and performer - are there.
Not before and not after. Ok, something remains and that is in this case
(thank good) more than what in traditional theater performances remains.
So if we find a technical possibility people can come and watch sofia and
silvianas animations, listen to the music, even read the playscript,

but they cant watch a theater performance when it does not take place

For me Internet is neither asynchronous nor synchronous. WWW is
asynchronous, CUSeeme is synchronous; email is asynchronous MOO is
synchronous, InternetPhone is synchronous, IRC is as well .......
:-)
as far as time is relative, and as far as "real time" is relative as well

I strongly agree with what you wrote above

lets take care of our audience. I am really fond of your initiative - that
you will have people with you, beside your computer, telling them what's
going on and how they can participate and stuff.

The initial choros idea of oudeis will work in the same way, I am sure.
There are not so many people used to the net that much, that you can simply
give them a website to access and than "leave them alone". So a meeting in
MOO to chat after the performance is necessary.

twyla, remember what heavy discussions came up after your "place for the
souls".

people want to interact, to talk, to share experiences, ideas - well and
finally this is what the net is for: communication!!

I feel so bad that I won't have that much computers in MMK so maybe only a
few people will come "backstage" after .... but I will try to do my best ,
providing physically and virtual presence :-)
