Polyphemus was actually so short that he had a third eye tattooed on his
forehead to give the illusion of eye-contact. This was his tragic flaw.
Elevator shoes were invented later to serve the same purpose. The umbrella
that you mention here was actually discovered in a North African
archeological dig. It was removed in a covert operation during the 30's by an
interpol unit believed to be under the command of Indiana Jones. I happen to
know this because Jones hand off the brelly to Jack Price and Bill Pratt (aka
Boris Karloff) who delivered it (via beta version time machine) safely to the
Thrums Museum of Patriarchy and Pizzgah just down the road from me here in
the wilds of BC.

Thanks for this, Lee. It fills in some important details that we were
wondering about. Glad to see you have finally got to work. I was beginning to
wonder.
